Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.)

Format: discussion, physical activity
Length: 12 hours
Notes: females only - physical activity, wear appropriate clothing

 

Golf Cart/ UV Driver Certification

Format: hands-on driving exam
Length: 20 minutes per person
Notes: will include a review of use guidelines (with exam) and a hands-on driving assessment

 

Tornado Safety

Format: video, discussion
Length: 30 minutes
Notes: 10 minute video, 10-20 minutes discussion for TCU specific actions

 

Defensive Driving

Format: lecture, computer generated slides
Length: 8 hours
Notes: National Safety Council course approved by the State of Texas for personal auto insurance discount

 

First Aid/CPR

Format: video, lecture, computer generated slides, photographs, hands-on
Length: 8 hours, usually two 4 hour sessions
Notes: National Safety Council Certification

 

Office Ergonomics

Format: lecture, computer generated slides, hands-on
Length: 1 hour
Notes: primarily designed for computer users - identifies ergonomics history, proper workstation set-up, and stretching

 

Hazard Communication (MSDS, labels)

Format: video, lecture, computer generated slides
Length: 1 hour 30 minutes
Notes: allow aprox. one week for specific department customization

 

Laboratory Safety (for non-laboratory personnel)

Format: lecture, video
Length: 1 hour
Notes: designed for non-laboratory personnel - undergraduate and graduate student course in laboratory safety offered in Fall semesters as Chem 5001

 

Back Safety and Lifting

Format: lecture, video, hands-on
Length: 1 hour

Bloodborne Pathogens

Format: video, lecture, computer generated slides, photographs, hands-on
Length: avg. 2 hours

Lockout/Tagout
